ASC Board Vice President
A familiarity with Accredited Supports to the Community through his previous work life is what prompted Tim Lowe to join the agency’s Board of Directors in 2026. For the previous 35 years Tim worked for the Government of Alberta, spending 25 of those working in various roles with the disability service program, and for the past nine years as the Public Guardian for the Central Region. In those capacities he collaborated closely with ASC and deeply values the organization’s mission and vision. Tim believes his experience and skills can assist individuals and organizations in accessing support and services that promote independence and facilitate community integration.
Outside of board and volunteer work, Tim enjoys helping his daughter with his grandchildren, cooking, working around the house and yard, and spending summer days at the lake. An interesting skill he holds is repairing and servicing mechanical, automatic and quartz watches and clocks.
A fan of Bruce Springsteen and Amazing Blondel, Tim also enjoys reading any book by Wilber Smith or Ken Fallet and highly recommends Doomsday by Connie Willis.
