What does ASC offer?

ASC’s Triple P Practitioners are trained and accredited to deliver a variety of Triple P programs to suit your current needs, in a high standard and quality manner. Sessions can be held in person, virtually or as a combination of both.

The following are some examples ASC’s Triple P Program offers:

Primary Care Stepping Stones

(For parents of children with a disability)

Primary Care Stepping Stones is a series of brief counselling sessions between 15 to 30 minutes meeting approximately four times over the space of a month or so. You’ll meet to address specific behaviours or issues that are particularly worrying you. You could discuss anything from your child’s fears and anxiety to mealtime dramas or disruptive behaviour.

Standard Stepping Stones

(For parents of children with a disability)

Standard Stepping Stones is more in-depth and is recommended for families with significant challenges at home. Standard Stepping Stones is provided in private with a Triple P practitioner, who will help you develop a wide range of positive parenting skills and strategies. You’ll meet up for eight to ten sessions of approximately an hour each.

Fear-Less Triple P

Fear-Less Triple P is a cognitive-behavioural parenting intervention that supports parents to help children manage their anxiety more effectively and assist their children to become more emotionally resilient.

Standard Teen Triple P

Standard Teen Triple P is a broadly focused parenting support intervention on a one-to-one basis for parents of teenagers up to 16 years. After a thorough family assessment, parents set their own goals, learn ways to encourage positive behaviour for teens and teach their teens new skills such as problem-solving, conflict resolution, and self-regulation. Completed over ten sessions, parents identify the influences on teenagers’ behaviour and set their own goals for change.

Primary Care Teen Triple P

Primary Care Teen Triple P is a brief targeted intervention in a one-to-one format that assists parents in developing parenting plans to manage behavioural issues (e.g. rudeness, disrespect) and skill development issues (e.g. independent problem solving, dealing with strong emotions, positive communication). Practitioners provide 3-4 sessions (15-30 minutes each) over a 4–6-week period.
