FUNTIMES
FUNTIMES is a group-based hourly respite service designed to provide a safe fun environment for children and youth with disabilities, while their caregivers enjoy a break from caregiving.
FUNTIMES is offered in the Olds, Airdrie and Strathmore locations.
Children & Youth
Opportunities for children and youth:
- Build a sense of belonging, make new friends
- Build peer skills in a safe environment with the support of skilled staff
- Experience new activities in a play-based, child-led program
- Engage in community activities with friends
- Summertime activity weeks
- Have fun!
Caregivers
Opportunities for caregivers:
- Time to relax and focus on self care
- Attend personal appointments, complete errands, shopping, etc.
- Have peace of mind knowing that your child is having fun and being supported by skilled staff
- Access quality services in your community lessening trips to the city
FUNTIMES runs Monday to Saturday with days and timeslots available to meet parents’ individual needs.
Children and families who typically access services have funding through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).
t2A is a group-based hourly service designed to provide a safe fun environment for older teens and young adults with developmental disabilities to connect with others, build community connections and friendships, or learn a variety of skills, and provide hourly respite for caregivers to enjoy a break from caregiving.
