Autumn has been a golden season for Accredited Supports to the Community and the Olds Bottle Depot.
The Depot was honoured with two awards recently, including a Trevor Nickel Service Excellence Award from the Alberta Bottle Depot Association on September 21st, followed by the Western Financial Business Innovation Award from the Olds and District Chamber of Commerce on October 23rd.
The Trevor Nickel Service Excellence Award celebrates Depots that demonstrate excellence in:
- Staff & Facility Experience
- Communication & Transparency
- Accessibility & Convenience
- Value for Time
The Business Innovation Award is given to a business that has implemented strategies and products that signify outside-of-the-box thinking. Whether it’s in the form of management strategies, business models, product design and manufacturing techniques, or marketing strategy, this award recognizes innovation in all aspects.

The awards come following a series of upgrades to the depot including new paint and flooring, a new roof, an added exit door for customers, and a new automated sorting system to increase speed and enhance accuracy in processing returns. Also changed were the hours of service at the depot from 10 am to 4 pm, to 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday.
The depot thanks all the customers for their positive reception and patience during the changes in spring of 2024. Without our great customers, none of this would be possible!
